"Remember for me.” Tears spilled down her cheeks and over my fingers, and then she pulled me to her, her voice tremulous. “Remember us… when I can’t."

THIS MAN SAT BY HER BED FOR 18 MONTHS WAITING FOR HER TO REMEMBER. ✋️😭

I genuinely loved this book. The whole concept was so heartbreaking, and Jim and Thea’s relationship absolutely destroyed me in the best way. The fact that she could only hold onto her memories for  5 minutes before everything disappeared was already sad enough, but then you add Jim into the story??? I WAS DONE.

Their relationship was easily my favorite part. The fact that he kept coming back and visiting her even when she couldn’t remember him??? 😭 He had to watch her forget him over and over again, and somehow he still stayed. There were so many moments where I was just sitting there like PLEASE LET THIS WOMAN REMEMBER HIM.

I also loved how emotional the story and I actually cared about the characters and wanted to know what was going to happen to them, which made all of the sad parts hit so much harder. The whole idea of loving someone who might not remember your relationship the next time they see you is actually EVIL. Like thank you Emma Scott for the emotional damage I guess, here's my therapy bill!

Also, maybe there IS something good on KU because this book was actually so good. There is one chapter that I definitely needed to skip, though cause spice and me are not friends. 😭 I was already way too invested to stop reading, so I just skipped it because I wasn’t missing anything important.

This was such an emotional read and definitely one I’m glad I picked up. The romance, the memory aspect, and Jim refusing to give up on Thea had me completely invested. If a book can make me this emotionally attached to two fictional people, it deserves the five stars.

AND AGAIN. 18 MONTHS. He waited by her bed for EIGHTEEN MONTHS. I will not be getting over that. ✋️😭
